Program: The 2002 Conference will take place Thursday and Friday, November 21-22, 2002. The preliminary conference program is available at http://nystatehistory.org/researchny/program2002.htm. Registration: Conference registration is $30.00. Registration includes continental breakfast Friday morning, a buffet lunch, and an informal reception to end the day. Advance registration is requested. The final conference program and all additional registration materials will be available at the conference. To register, send your check made out to UAS, Inc. to: Researching New York Conference Registration Be sure to include your name, institutional affiliation, address, and e-mail. Exhibitor Registration: Space is available for exhibits at the Conference. Institutions, archives, booksellers, and others wishing to display materials related to New York State history are invited to contact us at history@albany.edu or 518-442-4488. Full tables as well as space to display informational materials about archives, historic sites, and other New York history resources are available. Housing: For lodging, some of the closest hotels are listed below. . Hotels are listed in order of proximity to the University, the closest is first. Hotels are within reasonable walking distance or short cab ride. (See links to local maps under "Getting to Albany" below.)
Getting to Albany: Conference registration will be in the Assembly Hall in the Campus Center on the University at Albany Uptown Campus. Follow these links for: directions to Albany, maps of the surrounding area, the University Campus, and the Campus Center. Parking: Conference attendees may park in the Campus Center Visitors Lot which is located east of the new library, near the Biology Building and the Indian Quad Dormitory, or in the Main Visitor Lot off Collins Circle on the Washington Avenue side of the campus. (See campus maps) Visitor fees for parking include a base fee of $1.00 plus $.50 for each additional hour, up to a maximum of $3.50 for the entire day.
